Those Crazy Swans

With its unhinged ballerinas, lurid hallucinations, surfeits of blood and makeup, and one mad mother, the film “Black Swan” is hard to match as catnip for satirists of camp. The downtown theater artist Jack Ferver and his QWAN (Quality Without a Name) Company will take a stab with “Swan!!!,” a parody of the 2010 movie that will be staged as a dramatic reading from March 10 to 12 at Performance Space 122 in the East Village. The show is a follow-up to Mr. Ferver’s “Notes!!!,” a like-minded treatment of the Judi Dench-Cate Blanchett film “Notes on a Scandal“ that developed a cult following during performances downtown last spring and fall. According to production notes “Swan!!!” focuses on the ballerina Nina (Natalie Portman’s role in the film, played here by Jenn Harris), who is “freaking out because she is crazy.” Also crazy is her mother, played by Randy Harrison of Showtime’s “Queer as Folk” (and Barbara Hershey in the movie); her “Swan Lake” choreographer; and a former prima ballerina. Mr. Ferver will play the “hot new bad ballet girl in town,” Lily (Mila Kunis in the film), who becomes Nina’s frenemy. Mr. Ferver said in an interview that he had not gone through legal hoops with the creators of “Black Swan” because he and his collaborators were “appropriating the work into a camp spectacle,” meaning that parody is protected under fair-use exceptions to copyright law. “It is going to be insane,” Mr. Ferver promised. “Black Swan” has been nominated for five Academy Awards, including best picture and best actress for Ms. Portman; the Oscars ceremony is Feb. 27.

Я собственно чего ее сюда притащила. Фраза "played by Randy Harrison of Showtime’s “Queer as Folk” " меня убила в очередной раз. Бедный Ренди. Так и будет Джастин "свинцовой кастрюлей над головой" Ренди висеть?.. Он уже радостно сообщал всем заинтересованным лицам, что он теперь в первую очередь просто молодой и талантливый актер Ренди Харрисон и его роль Джастина ушла на второй план по сравнению с его театральной деятельностью. (Уж мы его душили-душили) Ан нет! Вот мне интересно, он когда читает такие заметки, у него настроение портится или он смирился с неизбежным злом? ))

в основном примечательна тем, что выложена самим ренди ) хммм.. видимо и сделана им же, фиг знает)
